I believe the wires for the otterstat come though the fiberglass wall in  the 
same hole as the impulse coil wiring does (that's the bigger yellow  
connector on the left side under the ignition resistors).  My wiring has  been messed 
with too, but I bet you might find a butt-end connector or a couple  of spades 
together right around there, unless they pulled the wiring for it out  the 
other side, inside the car.  Good thing you are fixing this wiring,  constant 
fans are a bad idea for a number of reasons.
