Hi Jim,

the headlight problem sounds like the typical issue when
they swap the american sealed beams with the regular lights
with replaceable bulbs. The pin configuartion is different,
that's the reason why the voltage is divided - the other bulbs
are connected in series.

The pin configuration can be swapped at the connector.

Hi al, the name is Jim and I live in South Africa I have just taken
delivery of a DMC 12 with 600 miles clocked. As far as I know its the
2nd one in the country.

Have some problems and rather than try to re invent the wheel thought
I would ask.

1. Headlights...when i turn on low beam high beam also comes on but
dim, the voltage on the high beam is 8v. I have check and added new
earths...no luck. When switching to high beam the reverse happens.
