AW: [DML] Wacky tach - major issue???

That relay you are talking about is a regular relay WITHOUT the center
spade.
It affects only the bulbs in d the center console.
I was talking about the bulbs or guages in the dash.
When the GND or +12V wires have a problem, then not only the tacho
is acting weired but the other things, too. (Volt meter....)

You need to watch that stuff to get closer to the problem.

Let us know if you found something.

It was during the day and my car has John Herveys relay that only
turns on the AC panel lights when the headlights are on, so I would
not have noticed if any of the dash lights had been affected. I do
have the workshop manual/electrical schematic and have become
somewhat familiar with reading it recently. I will be cleaning the
grounds and tracing the wire tonight to try to fix the problem.
Thanks,
