Another good idea would be a battery cut off switch. It may take a while for
them to even find the battery box.

I think Jason Perkins may have a good point about the
use of a locking gas cap. It wont prevent thiefs from
taking your car, but if it is just someone taking it
for a joy ride, then when they go to fill up the tank
so they can continue their joyride, they cant add gas.
They will end up stranded somewhere because they cant
add fuel, then the car is bound to be found and
returned to the owner.
