RE: [DML] Vent function question, advice please.

Joe, We just had one in our shop almost the same way. After making sure the
mode switch was transferring power to the fan switch by the LG wire I opened
up the fan switch and repaired it and everything worked fine.

Subject: [DML] Vent function question, advice please.

I recently replaced my mode switch, blower motor, blower motor
relays. Circuit breakers, and vacuum solenoid for the center vents.

On max ac, I get the center vents to function, but if I switch it to
vent or heater, the center vent closes. ???

On my other cars on the heater & vent settings the center vent stays
open, but not on 16851 (the one I'm doing hvac work on)

Also even after replacing the blower motor, fan speed relays, new
circuit breakers, I still have no 1 & 3 fan speed?

And ideas on the center vent issues and the two missing fan speeds?

Thanks,

Joe O'Brien
