[DML] Re: Temp Gauge Activity

I had the same issue for a couple of years. This is going to sound
very non-obvious, but I finally found it.

Remove the rear carpeted panel under the window. Behind the
passenger seat there a a bundle of black wires that goes up to a
screw where it passes thru into the engine compartment. This point
grounds most of the interior of the car. While you have access,
tighten up the batter connection (bundle of brown wires) just around
the corner.

This fixed a myriad of stragne problems in the car, including the
sticky temp gauge. The gauge sticking was caused by a power surge
going backward thru the meter as the car was shut off.

The other fix I've heard (more of fixing the symptom than the cause)
was to install a tiny roll pin at the end of the gauge travel to
stop the needle from going that far.
