As I have said the appearance of undercoating is not as clean and is much harder to maintain
But to say its ugly :-(
Anyway I do find it preserves the Zinc plating real well.

My opinions FWIW

There's a lot of discussion on the concours list about the 
undercoating - but that's another story. IMO I don't like it because 
it can actually mask frame degradation, makes working under the car 
very unpleasant, and looks ugly.
