And the source of the book's information is.......??  
DMCH!

As someone pointed out to me, the book uses the term
"MAY".  Because they use the word "MAY", I suppose
they don't have to back up the claim with any data. 
Most users of these price guides assume the prices are
set by some real statistical process..  But this does
not seem to be the case at all.

So, it is just a (IMHO) manipulative plug for DMCH
anyway.
