If you are installing an after market "high power"
stereo, run new wires.

The older stereo's used a "common ground", where
modern high power units use "floating ground".  If you
wire a floating ground unit to a common ground
configuration it WILL play  but you will blow up the
radio in a short time.

VB's harness will work in the rare circumstance that
you are replacing the stock radio with another
low-power crappy radio.  I have yet to see ANYONE do
this in a DeLorean, which is why VB's harness is
pretty much useless.

You could cut his harness and use just the power and
ground leads to power your new stereo, but this is not
a great idea either.  Newer high-power stereos also
consume more power, and the stock wire may not handle
the additional load...  but either way you should run
new wires to the speakers.
