 A sprayed coating under the carpet might work on a car with a metal floor
pan because it would dull the resonating effect of the metal but fiberglass
is a more rigid material so the sounds carried through it are of a different
character. I think sound proofing for road noise in the DeLorean would have
to be some type of mat.
