Dear Bob,

Is it not also true that the dies were siezed, "sold" and sunk as 
"weights" for a British Government funded boondoggle involving setting 
nets around sewage outlets? The idea was to keep the preditors out so 
the good fish could be caught easily. Problem is the preditors easily 
found their way in and soon outnumbered the catch. Another good use for 
valuable tax dollars.

I suspect there were Government operatives/agendas in this as it all 
happened much too quickly and vengefully. If all they wanted were 
weights, rocks with eyeloops fitted were all too available. This was a 
targeded 'ironic' disposal of the dies and not the kind of thing a 
thoughtful liquidator would have done with one of the most valuable 
assets of the DMC operation. Knowing the Irish were behind what might 
have been a successful operation, sinking the dies was the surest way to 
eliminate the chance of a "comeback". "Pioneers" often take the arrows 
and a reorganization might have been possible to save the DeLorean 
effort. Without the dies, it was a whole lot harder.
