You've got 'em upside down. Lubricating oil is puddling at top of
housing (which on your car is of course at the bottom), allowing seal
to dry out and gas to escape. Not end of the world -- just pop 'em off
and turn over.

BTW: door struts should definitely be purchased from DeLo vendors.
Wrong length will rip stud loose from pontoon, and I've heard of door
studs being bent too.
