Re: cat red hot



To get the Catalytic Converter to glow red you have to overload it
with unburned hydrocarbons. Some common causes are:
missfiring cylinder due to broken ignition wire or knocked off
broken or shorted spark plug
mixture adjustment WAY off
leaking fuel injector
