Just a thought, but what about turning your wheels into the curb so the car
can't roll downhill. That is, if you have a curb. ; - )

The PRV engines we use in australia have a comp ratio of 8.65:1 and
in manual form will sit on a hill in gear without any trouble
it does depend alot on your gear ratio's though
does the D have a high 1st gear ?

i used to park my car (not the delorean, another one but this is not the
point) sometimes in a high grade driveway. the parkingbrake was weak and so
i used to carry a wooden wedge in my car and put it during parking under the
front wheel. it?s not the "good looking" method, but a safe one.

The PRV is a low compression engine. Doesn't take much of an incline to
rotate it in gear. Have you tightened your parking brake cables? Is really
easy (and mine were 9/16 English!). They do stretch with time.
