Aaron and I did a test run of the course today and we thought that we would make a couple of suggestion (through the list) to anyone who plans on attending - I expect to see a lot of you there! On Sat. evening after we check into the hotel (and after all of the dyno testing is finished), we will take the Hotel shuttle to Gatlinberg to eat. There is a potential that Gatlinberg will be chilly, especially at night, so please be prepared with the proper clothing. Once the shuttle drops us off, we will have to walk about 3 blocks to the restaurant and then back to be picked up. After we get to the Hotel, we will all strip down to our swimming suits (be sure to bring yours) and jump into the indoor pools they have there. There are two pools and two hot tubs. We will probably hang out in the pool area for a while. We will try to wrap things up at a reasonable hour (not 1 or 2 am like last time) so that we can get plenty of sleep for Sunday - we will need it! On Sunday, the drive will be pretty long. If at all possible, when you arrive in Gatlinberg on Saturday, fuel up the cars then as it will be a very difficult task to fill up 10 (or more) DeLo's at the same time on Sunday without breaking into smaller groups. We need to try to stay together. The drive will be approx. 80 miles from beginning to end. The best part about the 80 miles is that a majority of them will be on curvy roads in the mountains (hence the good sleep). The funnest part of the drive will be the last 25 miles - the Dragon! Once the drive is complete, we will continue to a restaurant where we will eat and wrap things up. We will prepare maps for everyone and will be stopping at a few places for photo ops, confirming that everyone that is supposed to be there is, and in one particular situation, we will be stopping at an overlook that will blow your minds! Anyway, when we are all together at the Hotel, we will go over the specifics and hand out the maps. I can't wait for next weekend! Make sure you bring your driving gloves, shades, and some good rubber! Sean Howley VIN#2345 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
