I don't know the composition of the new hose and they haven't been in 
service long enough to answer your question. The origional hoses 
besides age probably weren't made for all of the additives that are 
now in modern gasoline. If you use the car regularly it shouldn't be 
problem. Most of the deteriorated parts that I have seen came from 
cars that were not used regularly or were stored for extended periods 
of time.
