The fog they use will either be oil or water based. In the theater I work 
in, we have to use water based because the oil based threatened to set of 
our smoke alarms. We also add a strawberry scent to the fog. I've never 
worked with oil based, but I imagine it could leave a oily residue. 
Something to think about.
