The biggest problem that you will encounter with the D is not regular
maintenance, but extraordinary maintenance and possible accidents. We can
disagree on this list as to if a front left fender is 2K or 4K, but if you
damage it (or the hood- no more are available with flaps or with lines) it
will be mighty expensive. And if something should happen to the engine
(such as the fuel distributor) or you mess up the seats or need a new dash
or binnacle from leaving it out in the sun, you are looking at 500.00+ for
any of those repairs. It is everything that you would face in an ordinary
car, but probably at least significantly more expensive
