[DML] Engine questions

Group,
Is it possible to have the fuel distributor rebuilt. I am just trying
to find an alternative to buying a new one. Is there a cheaper cross
reference for the fuel filter? I am buying a DeLorean (hopefully) that
hasn't been running well lately. I have been given a worst and best case
scenario, and now I am just preparing for the worst. I am knowledgeable
about auto mechanics, and have a repair shop guide, so what do you suggest I
tackle myself when it comes to working on a car with a fuel system problem,
and what should I leave up to a skilled mechanic? Thanks guys!
