There is also a socket wrench adaptor from 1/2" to 1/4" which uses a 5/16 square plug to connect the adaptor to the plugs. It is perfect for the oil drain plug. It's just the right depth and fits between the oil pan and the cross frame.

I usually jack up the rear end about 6 inches when draining the oil.
