First, the Lang family has my deepest sympathy, and condolences. How old was Mr. Lang? 
Also, if I may tie this question into this "real life" event, was the DeLorean crash-tested for a front-end collision with another vehicle? If so, wouldn't it have been seen that it's "wedge" shape (low front end, "high" rear end) could be rather dangerous?
