We got 27 mpg when we drove the car back from
New Mexico 6 years ago. We stayed within reasonable
speeds for most of the trip, although you can drive a long
way in Montana and South Dakota without seeing anyone
else. I really haven't measured it since then. My car has
the 5-speed gearbox, by the way.
