[DML] Re: Fuel Smell...Help!



Hi Matt,
There are several connections to the top of the DeLorean fuel tank that could give you this problem with the fuel smell. You already checked the top of the fuel pump, good. Next is the fill hose and vent located behind the vertical cover in the luggage compartment directly under the fill port. Remove this cover and inspect the hoses there. Inspect the tip over valve and all the hose clamps. Check the hoses, if they are hard you may just want to replace the hoses while you are in there anyway. Lastly, do Not overfill your tank when refueling. Hope this helps.
