In plainer English, you're looking at the A/C compressor, which is mounted
at the top on the left (as you look at the engine bay). Look on the
opposite side of the motor from underneath the car and you will see the
alternator. Mine has the Motorola and it's easy to read the name plate on
it from under the car.
