My car has been driven just under 1000 miles since I bought it in '99 - 
I just don't have time to enjoy her.  I upgraded all the fuel stuff when 
I got it, and its held up fine.  Just care for it, store it indoors, and 
turn the fuel over every few months before it has time to "go bad".
