You can probably remove some of the dent by doing what some body shops 
do to remove dent without a dent-puller, that is to weld some stainless 
steel wires to the door and start pulling them while hitting the edges 
of the dent with a hammer.  When done, cut the wire, grind smooth and 
re-grain.
