[DML] Re: Homelink (mirrors or other)

I have not dealt with any Homelink mirrors but I did install an
autodimming mirror off of a GM vehicle into my car ($10 from
junkyard!) Unfortunately I had to cannibalize my original DeLorean
mirror to get it to mount correctly. I would be curious how your
exisiting non-delorean mirror is mounted.

***The metal feet off of modern mirrors should not be glued to the
DeLorean windshield, it will eventually crack it.***

Knowning this, I popped my DeLorean mirror off of the existing plastic
mount foam-taped to the windshield. I then cut out the ball socket
and epoxied it into the new mirror. I was able to pop it back onto
the plastic windshield mount without an issue, and after a year its
still working great.
