[DML] Hot battery pole

Hi,

I noticed, a couple of weeks ago, when turning my battery switch off (monted on the 
battery's negative pole) that the pole was very hot.  What could be the cause of this? I 
hadn't driven the car hard, just normal driving and it was a normal summer day not 
too hot or anything.
