Hi Rick, thanks for the compliments.  (Great to meet
you in PF also.) My theory on the "hacking" issue was
that since the car was so badly neglected it would
have never seen the road again and since it was
painted, it wouldn't have even made a good parts car. 
  That in mind, there wasn't much I could do to it to
hurt its future.  So I guess my goal was to take a car
that had no future and turn it into the Delorean
future that never was.  ; )
