[DML] Re: The cooling fans

The electrical system is sized for particular maximum loads. It cannot
supply the load of continuously running cooling fans. You will
prematurely wear out the fan motors and overheat the wiring. You will
overload and wear out the alternator prematurely. If you have the fan
bypass wire you will cook it and possibly start a fire. You will
certainly melt the origional fan fail relay. You will overheat and
damage the connector terminals in the fuse block. Even when you run
the A/C the fans will (should) cycle on and off with the compressor
(which should cycle if it is running correctly). You should only
bypass and run the fans continuously in an emergency and then only
long enough to get to your destination.
