Like anything, It's worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. If
all of a sudden nobody wanted to buy anymore Deloreans, do you think you
could command a price for them? The only reason these cars are worth the
value that they are at right now, is because of the few of us who want
the car AND can afford it.

For what you've put into the car, it's worth the 18K to anybody with the
means to acquire it. For me, I'd LOVE to just shell out the 12K (bye-bye
home equity) and have that thing by the end of the week, but I can't.

I'd love to see everyone all of a sudden wanting a Delorean AND being
able to afford it, hopefully that will happen right after I purchase
mine.

6147 has been advertised in Collector Car Trader for about 2 months now
for $18,000 or B/O. I got a call about 2 weeks ago from a gentleman in
Dallas who said he wanted it. We were working out the shipping when his
wife stepped in and told him he couldn't have it. Actually she didn't
like the way it looked.

Well it got me to thinking... what's the car really worth?
