I remember I helped pump gas into a DeLorean that lived in Gilroy back in 
1999.  The owner and I just happened to be at the same station at the same 
time, and I had my wife pump gas into our car so I could talk to the 
owner.  Because it was just a little chilly outside, he asked me to hold 
the hood because the hood shocks don't hold up well in cold weather.  Or so 
he said - I am not sure that if that holds true for all DeLoreans.
