If the lever bracket is bent, the ebrake won't work well (or at all)
because it doesn't put enough tension on the line.  

The lever bracket bends pretty easily if you pull on it too hard- I
imagine because the ebrake isn't braking enough.... isn't that ironic?

You have to take out the seat to get to it.
