Depends on teh modifications done...
If you haven't messed with the gear ratio's
and if your rear wheels' OUTER diameter has not
changed too much it WILL still work for you.

Even with an entirely different engine (like a Northstar V8),
if you've got a correct tach and used the original gearbox
and wheels (or wheels with similar circumference) you're OK.
