[DML] Sticking Idle

My D idles fine around 900 RPM's but as soon as I give it gas and allow it to come back to idle sometimes, not all the time it will remain @ 1500 RPM.  The problem is fixed with a quick burst of GAS.  I put this post up a few weeks ago and I got back, something might be binding.  However, everything seems okay except my accel. cable does seems to be stretched.  Could that be the cause?  Any suggestions would greatly help because I'm going to really get into to it this week.
