Thanks for your comments.  I've had new Bosch plugs on the shelf for 2 
years... guess it's time I put them in. The HC count is low: 13.  Their "standard" 
is 173.  So maybe that's the confirmation that the cat is not at fault. I'll 
also clean the system with an additive, as another owner suggested.  Replacing 
my fuel filter couldn't hurt. The new one is on the shelf next to the plugs!
