I would suggest turning to the right and working from the rear - this 
way you are working down and when the thing lets go, you wont end up 
smacking the wheel arch with whatever bar you've used to extend your 
wrench with.

Strange this - the DOC list is full of angle drive discussions at the 
moment too!
