Thanks for the info, Dave & Mark. 

I made some calls, and from what I can tell this is a state thing. The
State Farm agents have wildly different policies depending on the
state you live in. I called multiple local agents in addition to mine
and all told me the same thing: They can give me a stated value
policy, but only as a "classic car" and there are strict mileage
limitations.

Oh well. I suppose I can check with some other companies...
